Meetings will take place on a weekly basis from January to April 2016 as an extra-curricular club run at school or outside of school.

In summary, the benefits this program would provide for participating in the pilot project would be:
- A free St. John Ambulance First Aid Training Course (Standard First Aid and CPR level “C”)
- A free WHMIS course
- A Pilot Program Health and Safety Leadership Participation Certificate
- An invitation to complete the rest of the program requirements, free of charge when the program is officially rolled out next year
- The option for participants to complete the additional electives to qualify for the Grand Prior’s Award, which is signed by the Governor General of Canada
- An extra-curricular personal development opportunity, especially for those who are interested in pursuing post-secondary education in the health or safety field
- Recruitment of students in December 2015 ( teacher referrals, announcements)
- A teacher/contact within the school or facility
- A space for hosting club meetings, weekly (lunchtime or after school)
- A space for hosting a larger event (once during the four month period)
